My name is Maria Aurora Laine (née Honkala). Some know me as Moira or Maikki.

I was born on August 31st 1977 in Oulu, Finland.

I am married to Henri and mother of Irene.

I live in a gorgeous nest on the 5th floor in southern Hervanta, Tampere with my Beloved, our daughter and my 'puter Daimon.

I have lived in Raahe, a coast town 75 km south of Oulu. I went to junior and senior secondary school there. I have spent one year in Australia as an exchange student.

My parents are Virpi and Matti Honkala who live in Raahe. They're my teachers, friends and a safety net guiding me through the tides of my life.

My siblings include a sister, Emma, who is 3,5 years younger than me and very dear to me. I also have a brother of my soul.

I graduated from University of Tampere majoring in media culture and rather majorly minoring in computer science. I'm also interested in hypermedia, women's studies, the language and culture of Japan and plenty of stuff not taught at the university.

I work for Nokia Networks TietoEnator (after being outsourced) dabbling with Oracle databases, UNIX, SQL, PL/SQL, Bourne Shell and a bit of Perl.

I'm known for my warm heart, sharp tongue and weird sense of humor. I hope. According to Keirsey I'm a Rational/Mastermind.
